Data Acquisition and Control System

Home Data Acquisition & Control System

Becas had launched a complete range of wireless Lora sensors in both indoor and outdoor applications with the IoT cloud platform BeOrbit. The indoor wireless sensors include temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, PIR  (Motion), Light, TVOC, Barometric Pressure, HCHO, PM 2.5 & PM 10, and O3. The outdoor wireless sensors include Ultrasonic Distance, Level, soil moisture, temperature, electrical conductivity (EC), gas detector, and light. Lora sensors can work in a long-range distance of up to 15Km in rural areas and 5Km in Urban city areas. The built-in battery of Lora sensors can last up to several years.

Becas Edge Server is an on-site Linux-based server that plays the role of a master controller or data logger, it receives sensors data from a LoraWan gateway, provides several outputs for auto control (like turning ON the fan, air-conditioner system), store data on local data storage and push data to the cloud to broadcast on phone apps.

In order to justify the cost-effectiveness of Becas IoT system, a minimum of Becas IoT system requires one Edge Server, one LoraWAN gateway, and a minimum of 5 Lora sensors.

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Monitoring & Control

All studies show that poor indoor air quality has a direct impact on health and well-being. When we know that most of us spend more than 90% of our time indoors, we understand the importance of measuring air quality and putting in place appropriate measures to improve it.

Poor indoor air quality can cause:

• Loss of concentration

• Nausea

• Headache

• Nasal irritation

• Difficult breathing (dyspnea)

• Dryness in the throat

For the Enterprise, this means lost productivity and sick leave. At school and in kindergarten, this can have a direct impact on children’s health.

Becas IAQ system can be used in many applications like schools, office buildings, hospitals, aged care centers, clubs, etc.

Classrooms Thermal Comfort CO2 Control System

Becas designs and develops a PLC-based control system that can monitor and control classrooms’ temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide CO2 level

The system will turn on the A/C and/or ventilation system to bring fresh outdoor air to the classrooms when CO2 levels reach the alarm preset limit.

The PLC controller also automatically turns off the A/C unit after 2 hours and alerts when the outdoor temperature is cool enough to turn off the A/C and open windows. That helps to reduce the electricity bills significantly.

Smart Agriculture - Irrigation System

Fresh water is the most important aspect of life, yet a big percentage of it gets wasted on over-irrigation in agricultural usage. Agriculture is important as well as it provides us with food for livestock and for humans to eat and prosper with. Farmers deal with issues on a daily bases as over-irrigation and under-irrigation can demean the quality of crops in the short and long range. Therefore, continuous and precise monitoring is required to ensure maximum agricultural yield.

Becas Smart Irrigation system includes several soil moisture sensors and an I/O module to control field devices like water pumps, solenoid valves, etc.

Customized PC/PLC-based Automation System

  • Becas provides Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) that utilizes Lora sensors and IoT technology. Lora sensor is a wireless long-range (up to 20 KM) with a long last battery (up to 10 years) that can operate in rural remote areas in harsh conditions without a power line and internet data network around.

Becas provides a wide range of Lora sensors for many applications such as:

CO2/Temperature/Humidity Sensor,

PM2.5/Temperature/Humidity Sensor,

Temperature/Humidity/Atmospheric

Pressure/Wind Speed /Wind Direction,

Water Leak Detection and Location

Liquid Level Sensor

Soil Moisture Sensor

Temperature and Humidity Sensor For Low-Temperature Environment

Temperature and Humidity Sensor with Activity Detection

Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor
